Individual Therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered and humanistic, focused on the unique human experience of each individual.

I meet clients where they are and walk alongside them on their journey to wellness and to becoming the truest, most authentic version of themselves. I find value in exploring the past in therapy, but I also believe in the power of the present moment. I believe wholeheartedly in the mind/body connection and a holistic approach to healing, so I integrate evidence-based mindfulness practices into my work with clients whenever possible.

I also believe that we are shaped by our experiences and have received extensive training in trauma-informed care. In trauma-informed work, the question becomes what happened to me? instead of what’s wrong with me? Shifting this paradigm is essential to cultivating the necessary strength, self-compassion, and curiosity to heal from our earliest and innermost wounds.

I work with adults who want to live more freely and fully, whether you are experiencing a diagnosable mental health condition such as anxiety, depression, or PTSD, or are simply ready to incite positive change or become unstuck from hard-wired, unconscious patterns in your life.

I have experience working with anxiety and general stress management, depression, family of origin/identity work, grief and loss (including non-death loss), life transitions, shame and self-doubt, substance use, and trauma processing and recovery. I also have experience treating acute mental health conditions in an intensive in-patient setting.
